The missions of the solution are the coordination of personel and resources at each station, management of transit and trains and preparing the carriages. The communication network is also shared by the personnel in charge of security, airline staff, station personnel, baggage handling and station chiefs.
SNIM – MAURITANIE
This network covers a railway of over 700km through harsh desert terrain and difficult climatic conditions. The solution comes with a control room that allows the permanent geo-positioning of trains, drivers and teams. An additional system providing technical maintenance information on equipment condition was included as an addition after successful completion of the initial system.
World Train Speed Record – V150
ETELM provided a full trackside communications infrastructure for this world speed record, which not only tested the advanced train capability but also the ability to provide excellent voice communications using several TETRA on-board radios at high speed. This World Record reached 574.8 km / h which remained the world record for several years. ETELM optimized the solution to meet a unique challenge due to the Doppler effect and the rapid call hand over between cells at such high speeds.
